Some dogs take to the raw diet immediately and the transition is as simple as
putting Northstar Natural Dog on a plate.
Other dogs, especially ones who have eaten highly flavored kibble for a long
time, may benefit from a more gradual transition. Begin by adding a tablespoon
of Northstar Natural Dog on top of or mixed in with their normal food for a few
days, then gradually increase the proportion of Northstar Natural Dog by 10 to
15% a day. Dogs with sensitive digestive systems may have a few bouts of diarrhea
or mucusy discharge as their systems adjust and detoxify. This is normal and
no cause for concern. If it lasts more then a few days there could be something
else causing the problem. |
